Weight Loss and Maintenance
We have all been bombarded by various media outlets with so many quick fix weight loss programs. We hope and believe that they will be our salvation. We don’t gain 30 pounds in 30 days, but we are told we can lose 30 pounds in 30 days…. not reasonable!!! Quick fix diets don’t work. If they did you would not need the new, latest and greatest program.
Losing weight is more than caloric restriction, eating only certain foods or adding a supplement as a meal replacement. Losing and maintaining weight is about your personal health philosophy, changing your food habits and behaviors. Weight loss takes time, patience and a plan. We offer a customized approach to create a plan that works with your philosophy, food preferences, environment and goals.

Eating Disorder/Disordered Eating
Whether you are newly diagnosed or discharged from a program, you understand the importance of following a meal plan to prevent relapse. We help you normalize eating to support your physical and emotional health and wellbeing. We will support you through your recovery journey.

Nutritional Counseling Programs
Personalized Nutrition Counseling
Whatever your nutrition concern, interest or goal may be, we work with you 1:1 to meet your needs.
Home Visit
One of the most powerful ways to understand your eating environment and food choices is through a home visit. We will explore your pantry, food labels and review the size of your plates, bowls, glasses, etc. This will help us determine alternative suggestions to enhance a healthier environment.
Grocery Shopping Coaching
Let us sort through the hundreds of food and beverage choices at your favorite grocery store. Are you confused as what to buy? We can teach you to read labels and compare products based on nutrition and budget, all while you grocery shop.
3 Steps Forward
Weight loss is most attainable with a therapy and movement component. 3 Steps Forward is a weight loss program designed to incorporate 3 components: nutrition education and counseling, behavioral therapy to address your emotional and psychological attitudes with food and movement through a fitness program designed to enhance your health and wellbeing.

Cholesterol Control
There is a lot of controversy that comes from interpretation of your lab results. Is cholesterol high due to the foods you eat? Is it eggs, fats, trans fats, saturated fats, genetics?
We will review and explain your lab results to you, and develop a specific meal plan to determine if your elevated cholesterol is a result of what you eat. Often we can achieve great labs results without the need of medication.

Food Allergies & Sensitivities
Most people are aware of the rise in food allergies and sensitivities ranging from IBS, Celiac, Crohn’s to nuts, dairy, wheat, eggs, etc. Are you allergic or intolerant?
Following a meal plan and keeping a food diary which includes your symptoms helps to determine what foods help or hurt you. We strive to find alternative foods to prevent the limitation of choices, due to fear of symptoms and distress.

Women’s Health
Hormones… can’t live with them… can’t live without them! Women’s bodies are always changing. If you are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant, let us teach you how to meet your nutritional needs for you and your baby.
As women age, our hormones change. We need to address bone health and cardiac health and treat the symptoms of pre and post menopause. Let us support you through the peaks and valleys of hormones.

Vitamin & Mineral Supplementation
There is so much information available regarding vitamins and mineral supplementation that it is overwhelming and confusing to most people. If you use supplements, you can bring them to our appointment. We will discuss what you take, your reasons why, who recommended them to you, and at what dose and frequency. We will review your supplement interaction with your medications and determine if they are effective. We can suggest alternative options as well as food recommendations to help reduce or eliminate supplements.

Pediatric Nutrition
Meeting the nutrition needs for children is much different than adults. Parents often struggle with picky eaters. Children’s palates are limited by allergies, texture, and individual personalities. We help teach parents and children eating choices to support optimal growth and development. This requires patience, creativity and practice to build a variety of food choices.

Sports Nutrition
Most athletes are very dedicated to their physical training. We complement their fitness with nutrition support. Some athletes have inadequate nutritional intakes which affects their energy and endurance during their performance. Whether you need a complete revision of your diet or just a minor adjustment, we can help you meet your fitness and nutritional goals.

Cardiac Health
We work with doctors and clients to promote and develop a heart healthy diet and lifestyle. We walk you through a food guide and teach you what to look for when reading labels. We will teach you to interpret your lab results, how and when to combine foods and medications, and incorporate movement in your day. We will discuss your concerns regarding: Cholesterol, sodium, weight and other related diagnoses.

Diabetes Education
Newly diagnosed diabetics contact us to work with their diet to control their blood sugars. Diabetes is often associated with weight gain. Just a small amount of weight loss can improve your blood sugars and overall health.
Even if you have had Diabetes for a long time, it is still important to manage your blood sugars to prevent the complications of the disease. The combination of the type of food, amount, frequency, along with your medication can prevent the erratic cycle of blood sugars.
